Colleagues and friends!

The Executive Committee of the United Kingdom Association for Public Administration (UKAPA) has agreed that Ulster University will host its second annual conference. The event will be held at the University’s Belfast campus. UKAPA’s annual conference continues the Joint University Council Public Administration Committee’s tradition of a yearly gathering open to scholars from member and non-member institutions. It affirms our commitment to international scholarship, the importance of relationships with other public administration learned societies and recognises that global problems require global solutions.

Next Steps

We warmly invite colleagues from member and non-member institutions to submit conceptual, theoretical, methodological, and empirically focused proposals for papers, panels, and roundtables. While proposals relating to the conference theme are especially welcome, we are open to consideration of all contributions that focus on topics relevant to the future of public administration, both in the UK as well as from further afield. The  conference is committed to inclusivity and opportunity and abides by UKAPA’s values. We aim to respond as soon as possible with a decision on all submissions so that those making successful proposals can proceed to register and arrange their travel and accommodation to keep costs to a minimum.

Single Paper Abstract Submission Guidelines:

  • Title
  • Provision of author details, affiliation and a single contact email address 
  • Between 250 and 300 words in length 
  • Provision of key words
